Sales Development Representative

An individual aspen tree is vulnerable. It sways in the wind and draws nutrients only from its own roots. When aspens grow in colonies, however, their roots fuse, and form one massive living organism. The grove is resilient and better together. Human beings are no different than aspens. At our best, we rely on each other for financial and social support and help those who are vulnerable. 


The nature of work is changing, and we face a new challenge. Earnings volatility is on the rise as the passion economy grows (think: founders, creatives, athletes). Introducing – income pooling. Simply put, an income pool is a pando for your career. Individuals choose a group and form a pool, each person pledges a small portion of their future earnings to the pool, and contributions are distributed equally among the members. Those who make less benefit most and those who make most benefit the entire group. Through income pooling – through Pando – we’re building a future where we’re better together.

Role / Responsibilities


  • In support of outbound sales, creatively source a steady stream of top-of-funnel leads to our sales team. Engage in targeted outreach, set up sales meetings, and be the first point of contact for new client opportunities

  • In support of inbound sales, partner with our customer success team to identify new income pooling opportunities for our existing client base and build out a strong pipeline of referrals

  • Develop and test outreach strategies and written sales content, including cold outreach, referral materials, pool closing packets, client bios and other materials as needed to deliver excellence throughout the sales cycle

  • Attend events on Pando’s behalf and bring leads from these events into our pipeline

  • Be well-versed in our unique product offering and common FAQs – be able to independently manage common questions 

  • Track all actions in Salesforce and be a champion of operational excellence within the team – help ensure we have the CRM practices in place to deliver delightful and personalized experiences to all clients and prospective clients

  • Support the sales closing process by providing relevant and timely client information to our operations / contract team 

  • Effectively partner cross-functionally (with marketing, customer success, operations) and be willing to jump in where we need you most


Experience / Skills


  • ​Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (0-2 years post-undergrad)

  • Strong interpersonal skills – empathetic and insightful towards what matters to our potential clients

  • Grit and creativity to deliver a steady stream of sales opportunities – a sense of urgency and ownership of results

  • Ability to thrive and stay motivated in fast-paced environment, to manage numerous responsibilities concurrently and to prioritize the most important actions

  • Drive to contribute to the team and bring new ideas to the table

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in (or able to learn) our suite of productivity and CRM tools, including Salesforce, Canva, Airtable, Slack, gSuite and others

  • Love of learning required; love of dogs encouraged

This is a full-time, salaried position. While we are currently remote through July, we plan for the sales team to return to our office in San Francisco (a few days a week) once we can safely do so. For this reason, candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or open relocation are preferred.
